The electric variant was confirmed last year

In fact, according to a report by Motor Trend published on August 24, 2022, Christian Meunier confirmed during Stellantis EV Day 2021 that the Grand Wagoneer will be getting the EV treatment.

At the Jeep APAC roundtable on July 13, 2021, TopelectricSUV reminisced and asked Meunier whether the Wagoneer EV would become the most expensive Jeep ever and how the price would be justified. Meunier referred to the product as the Grand Wagoneer EV in his response: The company still has plenty of features to offer.

The company has also stated that it is a very premium product with a very state-of-the-art and BEV-electrified version. And this BEV variant is probably not going to be an affordable product,” Menier said. He justified the premium pricing of the Grand Wagoneer EV, citing the experience of the driver waiting in this vehicle: Also mentioned that the upcoming model will also include 20+ new features which are yet to be revealed.

 Jeep Grand Wagoneer EV Design

The company has also revealed that the Jeep Grand Wagoneer EV may not have its own look. Because given that Grand Wagoneer customers prefer elegant and comparatively old-school styling, the design team cannot implement an EV ‘starter kit’ like the smooth nose cone, blue highlights, and closed (aero-optimized) wheels. However, even if the upper grille is closed, it should feature the familiar cut-out to preserve the signature seven-slot effect. Expect the charging port to be on the left front fender, which will allow for convenient nose-in parking when plugged in.

As previewed in our rendering, the all-electric Jeep Grand Wagoneer might not look all that different from its donor.

 Jeep Grand Wagoneer EV Platform

In fact, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer EV may look closer to the gas-powered model, but it could be based on a different platform, possibly the STLA frame, that will debut in the Ram 1500 electric. Joe Stelantis has said that the STLA Frame EVs will deliver a range of up to 500 miles. For a full-size like the Grand Wagoneer EV, however, the range figure could be around 300 miles on a single charge.
