2022 Tesla Model X EV – Tesla model X price in USA

2022 Tesla model X

The Tesla Model X electric car is a prime example of the automakers’ brand ethos. Quick, high-tech, featuring an eye-catching gimmick in its falcon-wing rear doors, it presents a unique-but-expensive proposition in the growing EV-crossover segment. The Model X EV comes standard with two electric motors that make a total of 670 horsepower and all-wheel drive; A three-motor version called the Plaid makes an astonishing 1020 horsepower and is said to accelerate to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.

That mega-motor version will be available in late 2022, according to Tesla. The Model X isn’t as agile as the mechanically similar Model S sedan, but it’s surprisingly agile considering its size and weight. The cabin is an exercise in modernity, with a massive screen dominating the dashboard that provides touch-sensitive access to most of the Model X EV’s features. Its third row of seats provides space for the whole family, and the second row can be ordered with captain’s chairs.

Tesla model X features

Tesla tags it as an SUV but we are more accustomed to the word ‘crossover’ to mean it looks like the Model X. It is not as tall or boxy as a traditional SUV.

It looks like a swollen version of the Model S. The main differences lie in larger alloy wheels (20-inch as standard and 22-inch optional), rear doors, which work better in tight parking spaces, and a longer overall stance. The hatchback tailgate is here and, in case you’re wondering, the opening and closing operation of the front set of side doors is old-fashioned.

Tesla model X interior

the similarity of the interiors of the cabin with the Model S is uncanny. The 17-inch touchscreen display controls almost all aspects of the car, and dominates the dashboard. The standard 5-seater layout can be expanded to a 6- or 7-seat configuration for an additional fee.

Like the Model S, the X comes with two dedicated spaces for cargo. But, oddly enough, Tesla hasn’t disclosed official volume figures. With a 5-seat layout, the Model X will certainly accommodate more luggage than the Model S

Tesla model X Engine

Like the model S, the X is also available in three variants – 75D, 100D and P100D. The basic idea remains the same, with the 75D having a smaller battery pack (75 kWh) and the 100D and P100D sharing the same 100 kWh battery pack. The P100D also gets a performance motor which makes it one of the fastest and fastest crossovers in the world. However, due to the larger body, the performance figures are lower than those of the Model S.

Tesla model X Variant

The electric car will be available in all three variants, with features like full self-driving capability, advanced autopilot and 20-inch Pirelli winter tires offered as optional extras. However, an 8-year infinite km warranty for the battery and drive unit and a 4-year/80,467 km warranty for the entire package is available across all three variants.

The standard kit remains the same on the 75D and 100D and both get the option of ‘Premium Upgrade Package’.

The P100D gets additional features like heated seats, choice of premium interiors, HEPA air filter and heated steering wheel. If we have to choose, it is the 100D that gets our approval.

The P100D is far more expensive and its great performance isn’t exactly applicable for day-to-day drives
